At this year’s Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA) conference I have 30 minutes to present my ideas on the flipped classroom. Normally I have at least an hour, if not two, to share my ideas in an interactive workshop-style session, but at this conference I have 20 minutes, plus 10 more for questions. After reading a review of Carmine Gallo’s newly released book Talk Like TED, I thought it might be just the approach I need to prepare an insightful and impactful presentation. Since TED talks are so inspirational and can be no longer that 18 minutes, it couldn’t hurt to tap into “The 9 Public Speaking Secrets of the World’s Top Minds”!
