Flipping the Engineering Classroom

flippedClassLast spring I presented a paper called ‘Flipping the Engineering Classroom’ at the Canadian Engineering Education Association annual conference in Canmore, Alberta. The paper summarizes the results of my study of three supposed advantages to flipped learning:

  1. a deeper form of learning
  2. higher student accountability for their own learning
  3. more engagement during classes

As I prepare to present a workshop on Flipping Your Classroom this afternoon, I thought it was time to go back and re-read the results of my investigation. Soon to be published in the conference proceedings, I thought you may be interested in an sneak peek at the findings … ceea2014_submission_90.
